The network ensures the development of standards and quality assurance in the following ways:
1. Membership criteria: The network has defined selection criteria for admitting programs to the network.
2. Other quality criteria: The network continuously investigates and identifies best practices regarding admission criteria for doctoral students, high quality publications by supervisors and other academic staff involved in doctoral education, and the calibre of the doctoral students themselves as they enter the job market.
3. Objectives and competences: The network keeps developing and periodically revising a set of minimal objectives and competences for a doctoral program in Translation Studies, including the skills to be acquired by students in those programs.
